Safeguarding at St Andrew’s Church

Safeguarding at St Andrew’s Church

At St Andrew’s church, children’s welfare is paramount and we are committed to the care and nurture of all children and/or vulnerable adults. Careful selection and vetting by practising safer recruitment ensures we provide the safest possible environment for people to grow in Christian faith. This includes obtaining Disclosure and Baring service (DBS) clearance when required for all those working with our children and vulnerable adults. We would also, respond without delay to any concerns and work with partner agencies in dealing with any allegations.

Training for all those with any responsibility helps maintain appropriate systems of accountability and supervision as safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. In this way, we hope to ensure St Andrew’s church continues to welcome people, so they feel loved and respected, feel Gods presence and know his truth.
