Church Bulletin
You are living stones! So says St Peter (1 Peter 2.5) in his first letter. I am fairly confident that he was not thinking of beautifully fashioned bricks when he made this assertion; the kind of bricks that are laid neatly in a row with just the right amount of cement separating them from their fellow bricks so that the resulting pattern is neat and pleasing to the eye, with none of the bricks standing out or memorable in any kind of way. Rather, the stones St Peter has in view are rough (all different kinds of shapes and sizes) much more like us. God carefully places us (like dry stone walling) so that the way in which we complement each other is amplified. The result is not so neat but much more beautiful!

Thy Kingdom Come
The period of Thy Kingdom Come began yesterday, in which we are encouraged to pray for our friends, family and nation. Each day we are posting a 2 minute video at 6 p.m. to assist you in your prayers (thanks to Vicky for sorting this out for us). You can pray while watching the video or wait till it’s finished and pray afterwards for as long as you feel led to.
Open Heaven
For your diaries, the churches of Coventry are planning to prayer walk every street in the city during the month of June. There are nearly 100 churches committed to making this happen. We would like St Andrews/St Andy’s to be part of ensuring that Eastern Green/Allesley Green and Tile Hill are included in this. The opportunity to reserve streets via an app opens this evening, so if there is a special street you would like to prayer walk, please download the app from the Open Heaven website or let Julie or Greg know as soon as possible. We will be sharing resources as to how to go about prayer walking nearer the time. If you are experienced at using apps, you might like to volunteer to be a guide to others who are less familiar. Please let us know if you are able to help.

We thank God that Mike Lynch is back at home and feeling better. We pray for the family of John Vernon whose funeral takes place today.
Cleaning
An elderly parishioner is looking for someone to clean for him twice a week for 1 hour and is offering £11 an hour. If you think you might be able to help with this either immediately or temporarily, please let Julie know.
Tastelife
We will be running a second Tastelife course, commencing Thursday June 4th for 8 weeks, following the success of the first course. Tastelife is a course aimed at those suffering with eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. It is also suitable for carers.
